Waterproof Shade Sails

Waterproof shade sails or structures could be the answer to your problem of not being able to use your outdoor areas when it's raining. We all know that Brisbane and the surrounding areas get a lot of rain... and when it's not raining the sun is out doing its best to cook us. Strangely, it's the perfect climate and we love it (otherwise we wouldn't live here).

A great way to combat the elements is by constructing waterproof shade sails and structures.

"Waterproof shade sails and structures give the same kind of protection of a solid roof however they give you much more freedom with your design ideas."

Waterproof shade sails can work in most areas, such as for a patio/entertainment solution without the ridged look of a structure. In most cases we will have to install the waterproof shade sail to make sure there will be plenty of fall for the rain to roll straight off.

There are a couple of shade structures you can get installed. Firstly, we have Rolled Structures made from rolled steel beams that has fabric stretched over the top. (As shade structures can also be non-waterproof same as shade sails). They can either be free standing or perhaps attached to a house/building on one side and come out to posts on the other. Or completely suspended between two buildings. Secondly, you can get a Cantilever Structure. These can be more convenient and more appealing than a rolled structure. They are great for a tight space and no obstructions of your view with posts in the way. Our cantilever structures can be made from straight or curved arm beams. And the upright posts either on one side or in the middle. Thirdly, we also construct Hip Structures. Primarily these structures are used for schools and parks. However, with their gable roofs they can suit some homes. They can also be made in non-waterproof shade cloth or in a waterproof fabric.

Here are some options for waterproof/impervious fabrics. First, there is architectural vinyl. It has a great smooth look and works great for shade structures and waterproof shade sails. Also, we have perfected our corner disks that we designed and manufacture ourselves. They are engineered to give you the most coverage. Second, is a waterproof shade cloth. It is our most popular shade cloth that has a clear membrane on the underneath side. To keep the colour you have chosen to suit your home.
