STORM EVENTS
Serious About Shade is unable to provide liability for damaged sustained during severe storm weather events. Under our Engineers advice we recommend that, on the announcement of any destructive storm events in your region, the sail/s be temporarily removed until the event is over.
FIXINGS TO EXISTING STRUCTURES
Serious About Shade take great care to minimise the inherent risks to an existing structure when fixing to it, our fixing point procedures are in accordance with our engineers' specifications. We recommend that any fixtures need to be checked and certified by the designer of the existing structure, or other suitably qualified persons, to ensure that no structural damage can occur.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
On acceptance of this quotation a 30% initial deposit is required before work can commence on your job unless other arrangements have been made and approved. A further 50% progress payment is required on completion of initial frame constructions. Final payment is required on practical completion. Acceptance of quotation includes permission to be on site.
By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you give Serious About Shade permission to use any photo taken on site for proof of job completion and in promotion of the service given.
If you pay by credit card, you will incur a 2% surcharge.
We require our fees to be paid within the trade terms stated on our invoices. If accounts become overdue, they may be referred to a debt collection agency, and or law firm for collection and pursuant to the trading terms, you will become liable for all their collection costs.
All care is taken, but we accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for ruptured services including electrical, communications, water supply, drainage, pool pipes and miscellaneous services. A site plan may be required showing all services. We offer a service locating service at an additional cost.
Please be aware that our standard Shade Sails design achieve approx. 90% coverage in the area between the fixing points due to the sail curvature and tensioning devices required.
On our standard Shade Sails tension must be maintained by adjusting turnbuckles, or other tensioning devices, slightly when necessary. If tension is lost from the sail, WARRANTY MAY BE VOID and damage can occur. An annual inspection service is recommended to help maintain the life of your sail/s.
We undertake to remove all site rubbish caused by our work, not including excavation spoils which can be removed for an additional fee, otherwise it will be left on site for your disposal.
Owner ship of all materials remains the property of Serious About Shade until final payment is received. All additional services suggested above can be provided by Serious About Shade at cost if required.
